Choose the right size first
Choosing a borehole pump is technical. A pump that is too big will dry up your borehole, burn out the motor and waste electricity.
Rule of thumb: never choose a pump that delivers more than 70% of your borehole’s yield.
Give us three numbers and we’ll recommend the right pump:
- Head – how high the water must be lifted, from the water level to the highest outlet (tank or tap).
- Water level – how deep the water stands in the borehole.
- Borehole yield – how much water the borehole gives, in litres or m³ per hour (from your drilling report).
